Lone Hangar
A 1956 aerial photograph showcases the humble beginnings of the 162nd Wing: the original maintenance hangar – along with a ranch house nearby serving as an office – of what was then the 152nd Interceptor Squadron. The small unit in the south Tucson desert would eventually reach wing status, evolving into the finest representation of an Air National Guard base with a global reach.
