El Tigre
“El Tigre” continues to serve as the 162nd Wing’s mascot, just as it did in May of 1956 when an inceptor squadron in Southern Arizona would become the latest Air Force component. Sixty years later, with multiple-mission capabilities, the 162nd Wing’s contribution to homeland security, coalition-partner building and national defense cannot be overstated.
