162nd Wing Commander promoted to brigadier general
TUCSON, Ariz. -- The commander of the Arizona Air National Guard, Brig. Gen. Edward P. Maxwell, left, symbolically recognizes the presence of a new general by passing the customary one-star brigadier general flag to newly-promoted Brig. Gen. Howard P. Purcell, 162nd Wing Commander. “No matter what my rank, being a part of your team is the job of a lifetime,” said Purcell. “I am extremely proud to be your commander and can’t thank you enough.” (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech.
