After a successful fuel transfer, pilots go about their business – their Fighting Falcons having additional fuel, allowing them to conduct more training, eventually making them a combat-ready air power. “It’s (air refueling) an important skill to learn in the Viper (Fighting Falcon) because it has applicability on any mission we might fly,” said Maj. Brad Balazs, an F-16 instructor attached to the 152nd Fighter Squadron at the 162nd Wing in Tucson, Ariz. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Hampton Stramler/Released)
