Patrick McClelland, a pilot assigned to the Arizona Air National Guard’s 162nd Fighter Wing based in Tucson, flies an F-16 Fighting Falcon over University of Phoenix Stadium before Super Bowl weekend kicks off. The purpose of the pre-game flight was to raise public awareness that U.S. air defenses would be at work Feb. 3 enforcing the FAA’s temporary flight restriction over the National Football League’s championship game while ensuring the safety of the crowd.
