Dan McGuire, an F-16 exchange pilot who was assigned to the 312th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Volkel Air Base in the Netherlands, prepares to fly a U.S. flag in May 2012 at his base in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. McGuire, who participated in the Air Force Personnel Exchange Program, deployed for four months with the Dutch Air Task Force, a detachment of the Royal Netherlands Defense.
