I am excited to announce the invitations for the 2012 Outstanding Airmen of the Year ceremony are complete and available here for your convenience. Members of the Arizona Air National Guard are encouragned to attend in support of our Airmen Saturday, March 3, at the Starr Pass resort here.

The cost per person is $43 for Officers, SNCOs, and civilian guests and $33 for E-6 and below. I have also included a link to the web site established for our event by Starr Pass for easy room reservations. The per diem rate for Tucson in March is $103 and is reflected on the web site. There are only a limited number of rooms available, so if you plan to stay the night after the event, please get your reservations made as soon as possible.

The keynote speaker will be Chief Master Sgt. Chris Muncy, the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the Air National Guard. He is an outstanding speaker and we are honored to have him as a featured part of our event.

The OAY team has been working very hard the past few months to build on the success of our previous ceremonies and ensure the 2012 OAY is our best yet. The event will be be an evening to celebrate the best of the best of the Arizona National Guard.

I sincerely hope everyone will be able to attend. I have provided some links below to our OAY web site, the Facebook page, and to the main web site of Starr Pass. I will be adding additional information as the date draws closer, such as directions to Starr Pass, parking information and other helpful info.

Thank you all again for your support of the OAY and we hope to see you at the ceremony!
