(AFNS) -- Units from the U.S. Air Force, Navy and Marines Corps participate in training missions for Red Flag 09-5 along with allied forces from Italy and the United Arab Emirates Aug. 26, 2009 here. This is the first time the United Arab Emirates has participated in Red Flag, a realistic two-week air combat training exercise conducted over the 15,000-square-mile Nevada Test and Training Range north of Las Vegas. The exercise is administered through the 414th Combat Training Squadron here and is just one in a series of advanced training programs offered by the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center. The exercise ended Sept. 4.
