Arizona Air Guard remembers Sept. 11
Airmen from the 162nd Security Forces Squadron here stand in formation in the base fire station to remember the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States exactly eight years after the fateful day. Squadron members wore a black piece of tape over their badges as a symbol of mourning for 1st Lt. Joseph Helton, Jr., a Security Forces officer killed by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq, while on patrol, Sept. 8.
